Chicago’s sneaker culture is as vibrant as the many neighborhoods that light up the city with uncompromising identities. For years, Chicagoans have been showcasing their personality with their feet. And as we all know, a good pair of sneakers will take you through rain and shine, mud and snow. For the same reason, your beloved sneakers deserve a top-notch care routine to keep up their fresh look.

In support of the upcoming AIR movie, exclusively in theaters on April 5th, Amazon Studio has partnered with sneaker culture icon Jason Markk for a multi-city experience titled “Fresh AIR,” and they’re coming to Chicago on Sunday, April 2nd. Starting at 10:00 am, the Amazon Studio team will drop by multiple Chicago landmarks and offer a complimentary sneaker cleaning with opportunities to purchase premium sneaker care products from Jason Markk, and an AIR branded photo opp.

Fresh AIR is a multi-city one-day experience that celebrates sneaker community culture and self-expression across the nation, and we can’t think of a more suitable city for such an experience than Chicago. After all, Michael Jordan played 13 seasons for the Chicago Bulls and made a definitive impact on Chicago’s sneaker culture as his brand influenced a new generation of creatives in the city including Kanye West and Virgil Abloh.

Now, Chicagoans can honor MJ’s legend and get their defiant, daring, and relentless sneakers cleaned. On Sunday, April 2nd, attendees of “Fresh Air” will receive a complimentary shoe cleaning featuring premium care products from Jason Markk, be able to maintain the photo-worthy clean with an AIR and Jason Markk co-branded duster bag, and an opportunity to capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment with an AIR branded photo opp tied to AIR’s “A shoe is just a shoe until I step into it” social campaign.

“We’ve partnered with the iconic premium shoe care line, Jason Markk, to honor the sneaker community and the culture that inspired the upcoming film, AIR. It was important to us to be able to provide an opportunity for sneakerheads to be able to share just how a shoe is more than just a shoe to them and the inspiration behind their passion, while being able to attend a unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said Jennifer Verdick, Head of Partnerships and Consumer Events, Prime Video.
