Christmas is right around the corner, but there could be so many reasons why you’re not in the mood of going out. That’s why we’ve put together the ultimate guide to Christmas takeouts in Chicago from your favorite restaurants, bars, and bakeries. This list has everything from full meal takeouts, DIY cooking kits, to Christmas present baskets. Keep in mind most orders need to be placed at least 24hrs ahead of your chosen pickup timeframe.

The Goddess and Grocer

Perfect for holiday gatherings of any size, The Goddess and Grocer’s Christmas catering menu makes Christmas dinner a little easier this year. Meal options include Christmas Dinner for Two (serves two) $75, Family Matters (serves six) $195, All In The Family (serves 12) $395, and a la carte food, wine, cocktail offerings. The menu also offers options for those in need of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options!

Orders for Christmas Eve delivery or pickup must be placed by Noon on Friday, December 17. Delivery is available and FREE pickup is available at the River North, Gold Coast, Bucktown locations. Select items from the Christmas menu will be available in stores on Tuesday, December 21.

Menu highlights

  • Whole Natural Turkey – Ferndale Farms in Cannon Falls, MN raises their turkeys in a happy, stress-free 140 acres of rolling green pastureland without antibiotics. Goddess roasts the turkeys with fresh vegetables and aromatics, and serve with stock for reheating. 12-14lbs $95 (serves 6-8) /  20-22lbs $125 (serves 12-14)

  • Crab and Shrimp Cakes (12) – one dozen bite-sized with remoulade

  • Holiday Salad – mixed lettuces, manchego, cranberries, spiced walnuts, apples, and honey balsamic

  • 8” Christmas Layer Cake with red and green vanilla cake with layers of peppermint frosting buttercream and holiday decorations

Mon Ami Gabi – Lincoln Park

Mon Ami Gabi is offering a DIY French Onion Soup Kit, an all-in-one package that comes with Onion Soup au Gratin, Gruyère and Jarlsberg cheese, baguettes, four ceramic soup crocks and instructions. The kit is $50, plus tax (gratuity not included) and serves four people. The kit is available for pick-up Monday – Sunday from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Aba’s Christmas takeout package includes Wild Mushroom Hummus, Stracciatella with persimmon, Thyme Roasted Carrots with labneh, Grilled Chicken Kebab, Braised Short Rib, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and Crème Brulee Pie. The Christmas Carryout is $56.95 per person, plus tax (gratuity not included) and is available for groups of 2, 4 or 6. Add on a bottle of wine or kid’s meals.

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba!

This holiday season, Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba is bringing you two perfect takeout options!

The Home For The Holidays package is perfect for any holiday gathering and is available for $50, plus tax (gratuity not included), for pick-up and delivery Monday – Thursday from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Friday – Sunday 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Orders must be placed by 4:00 PM the day before pick-up or delivery.

Or, you can go with the Spanish Charcuterie & Cheese Package, featuring Jamón Serrano, Salchicón, Lomo Ibérico; Assorted Spanish Cheeses, Housemade Crostinis, and more for $60 (tax and gratuity not included). The package serves 3-4.

Di Pescara

Di Pescara is offering a Christmas Eve menu to-go for $55.95 per person, plus tax which includes Maine Lobster Bisque, Shrimp Cocktail, Braised Short Ribs of Beef and more. Menu items are prepared cold and come with re-heat instructions. The menu is only available for carryout and orders can be placed by calling the restaurant directly at 847-498-4321. The Christmas Eve menu can be picked up on Friday, December 24 from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Ema

Ema is offering a Christmas Eve Menu To-Go including Classic Hummus with crudite and house bread, Greek Salad, Half Rotisserie Chicken with parsnip puree, brussels sprouts and lemon thyme jus, Beef Tenderloin Kebab with shawarma spice, lemon dill rice and tahini yogurt and Halva Cookies for $58.95 per person, plus tax (gratuity not included). All items are served cold with reheating instructions. Add on a Whole Honey Pie or bottle of wine.

The Christmas Eve menu can be ordered on Tock for 2, 4, 6, or 8 guests by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 21 for pick-up or delivery between 2:30 PM-6:00 PM on Friday, December 24.

L. Woods Tap & Pine Lodge

Prefer to enjoy the Feast of The Seven Fishes in the comfort of your home?
