There’s no better time to experience the city’s acclaimed dining scene than Chicago Restaurant Week.
This year’s edition of the annual foodie fest, which takes place Jan. 20 – Feb. 5, 2023, is the perfect opportunity to explore the newest additions to the city’s culinary scene — more than 50 restaurants are making their Chicago Restaurant Week debut in 2023.
To help you get started, we’ve highlighted 12 new Chicago restaurants to check out this year.

LIVA at Chicago Winery
Chicago Winery, a working winery in the heart of River North, has opened their new restaurant Liva. The two-person Chicago Restaurant Week menu includes shared plates like whipped feta, potato croquettes, and lamb and squash tagliatelle.

Brass Tack
A new spot inside the Waldorf Astoria Chicago, Brass Tack offers traditional American brasserie fare. Try salmon belly rillette, chicken confit, a dry aged burger, and more during Chicago Restaurant Week.

Nisos Mediterranean
This stunning West Loop spot prides itself on using fresh and authentic Greek ingredients. Try their Chicago Restaurant Week dinner menu with ceviche, moussaka, and Greek rice pudding with mango syrup.

Bronzeville Winery
One of the year’s most anticipated openings, Bronzeville Winery will be serving a four-course dinner for Chicago Restaurant Week. Start with Spanish cod fritters and end with an affogato.

Alpana
This stunning spot in River North, from local food celebrity Alpana Singh, includes three courses of refined, seasonal dishes like plum salad, crispy polenta, and braised short rib.

Forte at Symphony Center
Located inside the Chicago Symphony Center, Forte is a new restaurant serving contemporary Mediterranean cuisine. Their dinner menu will include mezze, roasted fig focaccia, pappardelle with ragu, and more.

Komo Chicago
Bringing Japanese and Latin fusion to the West Loop, Komo will be serving two dinner menus for Chicago Restaurant Week with dishes like tuna tartare, lobster salad, and sweet soy duck breast.

HIDE+SEEK
On Randolph Row, HIDE + SEEK serves creative small plates with international influences. Their Chicago Restaurant Week dinner includes grilled oysters, wagyu short rib, ricotta gnudi, and more.

Cafe Bionda
This neighborhood favorite in the South Loop has opened again after a two-year hiatus. They specialize in everything Italian, from fresh salads and sandwiches to old-school dishes like classic lasagna and braised osso bucco.
